Privacy Policy

Small Engine Rx ("we," "us") operates wontstartrx.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: rxhelp@wontstartrx.com.

What we collect

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see it), and optionally your phone number and ZIP code.
• Machine details — information you choose to save about your equipment, such as make, model, and year.
• Photos and videos — media of your machines you upload with an order or to your account. They're stored privately and are visible only to you and to us for the purpose of preparing your diagnosis.
• Order information — what you purchased and the details you submit on our order form. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. For physical parts orders, Stripe collects your shipping address and shares it with us solely to deliver your order.

How we use it

• To prepare and deliver your diagnosis, verdict, or maintenance plan.
• To process orders and send you transactional email (order confirmations, account emails, your reports).
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't send marketing email you haven't asked for.

Services we rely on

We use a small number of processors to run the site, each receiving only what's needed for their job:

• Netlify — website hosting and order form submissions.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — accounts, saved machine details, and private photo/video/report storage.
• Google Fonts — typefaces for the site.

Cookies and local storage

We don't run advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a session token when you sign in so you stay signed in. Clearing your browser data removes it.

One account across the Rx family

Your account is shared with our sister services, Home Rx and Lawn Rx MN — the same sign-in works at each, and reports you receive from any Rx service are visible in your account on the others. The same privacy commitments apply everywhere.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account information, media, and reports for as long as you have an account so your history stays available to you. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email rxhelp@wontstartrx.com from your account email and we'll remove it.

Children

Our services aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
