What to film (30 seconds is plenty)
The starting attempt — full pull or crank, even if nothing happens. The sound of a no-start is half the diagnosis.
The symptom itself — the surge, the smoke (get the color in daylight), the stall, the rattle. Let it run long enough to misbehave.
The nameplate — one clear photo of the model/serial sticker so we know exactly what's on the bench.
The history, in text — how old, when it last ran right, what fuel is in it, what's already been tried.
